PRESS RELEASE:

"Christmas Party for Multiple Handicapped Children"

The Livonia Lions will co-sponsor a Christmas Party for the special needs children from Cooke School- Northville on December 19th, 2012. We expect to provide 250 meals, clowns, musicians and a children's choir perform to those in attendance. Santa Claus and Christmas Carol will drop by to deliver Christmas presents to all of the children. If you would like to support this event in any way, please "Contact Us" at this website.

"Meet the Livonia Lions":

The Livonia Lions will host our next "Meet the Lions" Dinner in November, 2012. Guest attending this event will learn about Lionism from a variety of speakers including representatives from Seedlings Braille Books for Children, the Methodist Children's Home, the Visually Impaired Information Center, Penrickton Center and Cooke School - Northville. "Lions Fun Time for the Methodist Children's Home

The Livonia Lions Club donated fishing rods, tackle boxes and batting helmets to the children of Methodist Children's Home to better enjoy their summertime sporting activities.

"Spree 62"at Ford Field, Livonia

The Livonia Lions served "Corn on the Cob" and other Fresh and Delicious products on the Civic Aisle at the Livonia Spree in June, 2012. Our first Blindfolded Corn on the Cob Eating Contest was a huge success! We participate in the Spree to raise Community Awareness and generate revenue to support the good work that we do in Livonia and Redford.

"White Cane Week"

was April 27th through May 6th, 2012. Lions Club volunteers were stationed around Livonia and Redford collecting donations to support those "in need" in both communities.

The Livonia Lions co-sponsored a Christmas Party for the special needs children from Old Village School- Northville on December 13th, 2011. 250 lunches were served, clowns, musicians and a children's choir performed for those assembled. "Lion's "FUN TIME" for Methodists Children Home"

The Livonia Lions Club treated the children of Methodist Children's Home to a Holiday trip to Phoenix Theater to watch a movie and enjoyed theater treats.

"One Sight Program at Lenscrafters - Laurel Park"

The Livonia Lions provided meals and volunteers to support a group of 35 children who participated in the One Sight program at Lenscrafters - Laurel Park where they received eye exams and glasses in December, 2011 View the pictures!.

"Meet the Livonia Lions":

The Livonia Lions welcomed 20 guests to the November 13th, 2011 Dinner/Program. The attendees learned about Lionism from a variety of speakers including representatives from Seedlings Braille Books for Children, the Methodist Children's Home, the Visually Impaired Information Center, Penrickton Center and Old Village School - Northville. "Eye Exams and Glasses"

The Livonia Lions help those "in need of" eye exams and glasses who are not otherwise able to afford to pay for these items. If you would like to learn more about this service, please "Contact Us" at this website.

"Used Eyeglasses and Hearing Aides"

The Livonia Lions collect used eyeglasses and used hearing aides. In October, 2011, the Livonia Lions donated 5000 pair of used eyeglasses to District 11-A-1 for refurbishment and reuse. The Livonia Lions have collected and donated 15000 pair of eyeglasses since 2009. Click here for a list of Collection Box locations
